AIKYA is a non profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of children with Special needs. AIKYA provides consultancy services to organizations working with special needs population and individuals with special needs. Assessments are individualised. A support network is created for the client through active community based programmes.
AIKYA means integration in Sanskrit, and as the name indicates, this school aims to integrate and include special children with mainstream society.
AIKYA has Special Education Centre and also trains of infants and toddlers through its Early Intervention outreach programme. AIKYA trains children with Autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome and Learning Disabilities. AIKYA has been successful in placing their students in regular mainstream schools, finding suitable employment for them. AIKYA trains the youth with special needs in self employment skills as well.
AIKYA has trained more than 800 babies through its Early Intervention programme and nearly 2000 people with special needs benefit from AIKYA every year.
