May 1 is a non profit Socio Economic Initiative to provide continuous income earning opportunity to skilled manpower like Masons, Carpenters, Electricians, Painters etc. and thereby increase their standard of Life and Living over a period of time. This Project also aims to increase their earning potential using technology by creating such opportunities and also to bring in the culture of work discipline and fulfillment to their customers.
May 1 also aims to define benchmark standards for their work and also aid in establishing a formal training school for all the wandering young minds in the city to become a independent skilled workmen which raises their self-esteem and builds them a strong individual.
May 1 primarily exists to fill the need gap which exists today for all types of home and office repairs/renovation.
The May 1 team is collecting data of all laborers like Masons, Carpenters, Electricians, Painters etc and consolidating them in their website www.May1.in. This site also serves another purpose as most of us struggle to get these laborers whenever we need them. This may enhance their Livelihood and have better utilization of their time.
